DALRIADA came out on top in the Schools Trophy Final after beating Antrim by a large margin.
The match report read: “Our First XV were absolutely brilliant yesterday afternoon, delivering a complete performance in the Schools Trophy final, beating Antrim Grammar 40 points to 5.
“They started with great intent and scored four tries in the first half through Zach McIlhagga, Ben Stewart, Ben Kirk and Isaac Moore with Gabriel Stubbs-Carton imperious from the tee, slotting all four conversions.
“Antrim kept coming back at us in a very entertaining final, adding a try of their own in the second half along with two more fantastic team tries from our boys finished by Ben Stewart, with his second, and a peach from Matthew Fox.
“That concluded a beautiful day in Ballymena and a fitting way to end our season.
“Thank you to Ballymena RFC and a massive thank you to all our supporters, parents, coaches, helpers and, of course, our players.
“They have represented our school with such distinction, thank you.”
