Coleraine boxer Matty Boreland proved the clear winner on Friday evening at the Waterfront Hall.
He returned to the ring after six months out and displayed a dominant performance over a much more experienced fighter from Tanzania - Charles Tondo.
The six round fight went easily in favour of Boreland, who started off quickly on the front foot to keep the African mostly on the ropes, allowing Boreland to pick his shots throughout the entire contest.
It should be noted, that Tondo has more KO wins on his resume than Boreland has fights.
Thoughts now turn to what’s next for Boreland who continues to impress in the pro’ ranks.
He himself is on record as admitting to wanting to add titles to his burgeoning reputation, with the focus both in Ireland and in Britain - now being ranked eighth in the Super Bantamweight division in the United Kingdom.
