Coleraine's newly crowned Irish boxing champion Matty Boreland has thanked all those who helped him realise his dream in Belfast on Saturday night.
Boreland defeated Ruadhan Farrell to claim the Irish super-bantamweight title on the undercard of the Lewis Crocker v Paddy Donovan world title bout at Windsor Park.
For many, it was the fight of the night and increases Boreland's stated aim of bringing big-time boxing back to his home town and, more specifically, the Coleraine Showgrounds.
"Absolutely buzzing, can’t thank my coaches enough for everything they’ve done for me," said the new champ' on social media.
"Hats off to Rudy we had a great fight and up it was up there with the fight of the night.
"We are one step closer to having my dream fight at the Coleraine Showgrounds.
"To everyone that bought tickets - thanks to every single one of yous as this gives me the opportunity to fight on these shows.
"Thanks to @matchroomboxing and @conlansports for giving me this opportunity and to my manager @ian_gaughran_boxing for getting this fight over the line.
"Big shout out to my sponsors without them I couldn’t be doing what I do," he added.
