Coleraine First XI had a stunning league victory against Brigade on Sunday.

They chased 293 runs for the loss of only four wickets, with 15 balls to spare.

Marcus Poskitt and David Cooke each scored unbeaten centuries in one of the greatest Coleraine batting partnerships.

It’s believed to be the only time in Coleraine’s history that two batsmen scored centuries in the same innings.

"What a Sunday for Coleraine Cricket," said Coleraine Cricket Club's main sponsor Gareth Godfrey.

"Two young cricketers who learnt their cricket in College Park (with head coach Vishal Chopra) and have come through the ranks at the club, scored undefeated centuries on the same day.

"Varun Chopra scored 104* for Cliftonville Academy against Woodvale while Marcus and David demolished Brigade.

"This must be a unique achievement and fantastic for Coleraine.

"Well played Marcus and Varun! We are all very proud of your achievements," he added.
