COLERAINE based solicitors are partnering with Age NI in March to support Free Wills Month where supporters aged 55 plus can have a simple will written or updated for free.
Age NI are working with McIntosh solicitors to encourage people in the Coleraine area to make a valid will and ensure their wishes are followed and loved ones are looked after.
Calum Donnell from McIntosh Solicitors said: “We are delighted to support this campaign and raise awareness of the importance of having a will.
“A will is a crucial document that ensures your wishes are carried out and makes the process of dealing with your estate much easier for your family.’
Samantha Coleman, Fundraiser Age NI explained: “By taking part in Free Wills Month, supporters can look after their loved ones – and if they choose – a gift to Age NI could one day make a huge difference to an older person’s life.
“It could be a lifeline for someone who’s struggling, and help us continue to provide advice, care and friendship to older people in the future.
“Leaving a gift in your will, no matter the size, can make a powerful difference helping us to run vital services that thousands of older people rely on each year.
“With an ageing population, we know demand for our support is only going to increase,” she added.
Appointments are available to book between 2 and 31 March. They are limited in number and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
Free wills month covers the cost of having a simple will written or updated. However, if the will is more complex and requires additional work, this will be at your own expense.
A professionally written will ensures your wishes are followed, provides clarity for loved ones, and offers peace of mind.
