LAST week at Stormont during a debate on economic development local MLAs were asking a familiar question.
Why were outlying regions like Causeway Coast and Glens still losing out to Belfast and Derry?
The Economy Minister’s response was to remind the Assembly of her department’s £45m Sub-regional Plan.
Key to the plan are the 11 Local Economic Partnerships (LEPs) set up one year ago, tasked with identify the main barriers to growth in each district and the interventions needed to unlock it.
