Council to seek compensation for traders over bridge closure

CAUSEWAY Coast and Glens Borough Council is to seek compensation for businesses impacted by the closure of a key route in and out of Kilrea.
Traders in the town have been cut off from customers since the Bann Bridge was declared unsafe last month.
Last Tuesday officials from the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) were in the Causeway Coast and Glens chamber to present their annual report to members.
The subsequent Q&A was dominated by questions on Kilrea’s bridge.
