Giants Causeway Visitor Centre added to list of closures

Amid other closures in the area, the Giants Causeway made the decision to close for the day following amber warnings across the Borough. The Visitor Centre announced on their Facebook page:

Due to the amber weather warning in place for wind, the Giant's Causeway Visitor Experience will close from 11:30am today, Friday 3 October.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The safety of our visitors and our team is our top priority, so we are encouraging people to only travel if necessary.

We hope to re-open tomorrow, Saturday 4 October, subject to weather conditions and after evaluation of any damage that Storm Amy may have caused.
