CAUSEWAY Coast and Glens Council is being hit by cyber attacks “every night,” according to its Chief Executive.
But despite auditors’ directives to address the risk, David Jackson has insisted council HQ is protected by “one of the highest levels of security” in Northern Ireland and will “push back strongly” on suggestions cyber security is a significant governance issue.
The extent of digital and cyber threats to council data was revealed at a special meeting called last Monday to sign-off accounts for 2024/25.
