MOORES of Coleraine, one of Northern Ireland’s most beloved independent department stores, celebrating its 100th year in business, a remarkable milestone that honours a century of style, service and strong community ties.
To mark this special anniversary, Moores is launching a year-long celebration under the theme: ‘Moores, Celebrating 100 Years’.
From heritage-inspired displays and staff tributes to exclusive customer events and community partnerships, the campaign reflects on the people, stories, and values that have defined Moores over the decades.
And as part of the celebrations the store is holdings a 'Big Birthday Bash' tomorrow (Thursday) night from 6pm. There will be live entertainment, complimentary drinks, surprises and giveaways.
As well as the birthday bash there will be Centenary Window and Store Displays showcasing the store’s evolution through the decades; ‘100 Years of…’ Campaign, spotlighting stories of style, community, and the people behind Moores; Colleague Tributes, honouring long-serving team members past and present and exclusive Customer Events, promotions, and in-store experiences throughout the year and local Collaborations with schools, charities, clubs and artists celebrating Coleraine’s heritage.
Founded in 1925, Moores has become a cornerstone of the North Coast retail scene. Over the past century, it has welcomed generations of local families through its doors, evolved with changing fashions, supported local employment and remained a constant presence in the heart of Coleraine town centre.
“We’re incredibly proud to reach this milestone,” says Neville Moore, Managing Director at Moores.
“This is a celebration of more than just our store – it’s about the generations of loyal customers, dedicated colleagues, and strong local partnerships that have kept Moores thriving for 100 years.
“This community is our foundation, and we’re excited to celebrate with them.”
