THE Stormont minister seeking new laws to address decaying buildings has been to Portrush to see the impact of dereliction on the town.
Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs Minister, Andrew Muir secured Executive approval for a Dilapidation Bill in June.
Last week he met local councillors and members of Portrush Heritage Group during a visit to Lansdowne Crescent.
Many of the buildings in the once elegant Victorian terrace are vacant and decaying rapidly.
During his visit, Minster Muir said they were “a visual reminder of the negative impact of dilapidation on our towns.”
