Translink say their services in Coleraine have been affected by a protest in the town on Wednesday evening.

It comes after several people set a number of bins alight on railway lines close to Coleraine railway station.

"Severe delays & disruption to trains on the #Derry #Londonderry line this evening due to civil unrest at #Coleraine & possible damage to rail tracks as a result," a Translink spokesperson said on social media.

Earlier, a spokesperson revealed that 'due to a protest in the area and buses not being able to access to the bus station #Coleraine 140a/b triangle services have been suspended.'
