Charity fundraiser Andy McClarty

DESPITE a recent health scare charity worker Andy McClarty has pledged to continue fundraising for a cause close to his heart.
So far the inspirational Garvagh grandfather has raised more than £200,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of his father Gamble McClarty who died from cancer more than a quarter of a century ago.
Andy's charity work was understandably scaled back following a health scare last year and he only held his Christmas plant sale on one day.
But, despite coinciding with Storm Darragh, he has vowed to continue fundraising, with four days of summer plant sales on the cards.
His nursery at 86 Mettican Road, on the outskirts of Garvagh, will host sales on Friday, 30 May and Saturday, 31 May, as well as Friday, 6 June and Saturday, 7 June, from 8am until 4pm.
