If you want to find out what's been happening in and around the Causeway Coast and Glens this week, make sure that you get your very own copy, out in the shops first thing tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

This week we lead with the news that a major band parade will take place in Portrush at the same time as the major international Open golf tournament. Council officials said they have been 'working closely' with organisers.

In a two page special we have the very latest news from the Open in July including that  concerns have been raised over the 11pm halt for public transport out of Portrush and of plans to promote North Coast towns to ‘domestic tourists’ who, it’s feared, may be deterred from visiting by the arrival of 250,000 spectators throughout the week.

In other news we report how a popular dance hall in Portstewart, which has hosted such legendary acts as Roy Orbison, Englebert Humperdinck and the Everly Brothers in the past, has been demolished.

We have all our usual popular news features including council news, court reports, Community Forum, Schools Platform and we have a special two page news feature on 100 years of Garvagh Pipe Band as well as four pages on farming, Spring Motoring and four pages from local churches.

And of course we have the very latest on the local sporting front with 17 packed pages including how Coleraine skipper Lyndon Kane is out for the rest of the season through injury.

All this and much, much more in this week's edition of the Coleraine Chronicle - don't miss out and get your very own copy.
