A LOCAL charity’s groundbreaking Dementia Safeguarding Scheme is being rolled out by the Western Trust.
Age Concern Causeway's vital wristband initiative was launched last autumn to provide peace of mind to families who have a loved one living with dementia,
The Coleraine based charity provides support borough-wide support with wristbands already distributed to those attending its eight support groups for people living with dementia; two in Ballymoney and Coleraine and one in Ballycastle, Garvagh, Limavady and Portrush.
The Western Health and Social Care Trust in partnership with Age Concern Causeway, Public Health Agency and Derry GP Federation officially launched Age Concern Causeway’s Dementia Wristband initiative on Thursday,  10 April, at the Guildhall, Derry/Londonderry.
