A Portrush street has been closed until further notice because of damage to a block of flats caused by last week’s storm.
It’s understood occupants of units on the top floor of the Ramore Street building have been advised to vacate the premises.
The building is owned by the Housing Executive but many of the apartments are now in private hands and used as second homes.
Last Friday NIHE officials said they had strenuously tried to contact all householders and appealed to anyone not yet reached to contact them for safety advice and updates on repairs.
Last Friday, Storm Eowyn generated gusts of over 80mph when it hit the North Coast.
One Ramore Street resident described two days later on social media, how the roof above his flat had been partially blown off. “I’ve been lucky,” he wrote.
