NORTHERN Ireland’s tourism chiefs have promised a significant global marketing campaign around next July’s Open Championship in Portrush.
Responding to queries on his department’s plans to maximise economic opportunities around the golf event, the Tourism Minister said officials would also advise local traders on maximising business during the week-long event.
Minister Conor Murphy said they would also help develop skills to the local workforce and deliver a PR and marketing campaign “locally, nationally and globally”, in the lead up to, during and after the event.
