Portrush hotel sold to US-based firm

Portrush's Atlantic Hotel has been acquired by a US-based property management company.

Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners already operates the Slieve Donard Hotel under its Marine and Lawn brand and is in the process of refurbishing the newly acquired Adelphi Hotel next door to the Atlantic in Portrush.

A deal over the Atlantic was finalise on November 22, according to an Irish News examination of Companies House documents.

The Chronicle understands staff were also informed of the take-over last month.
