GOLFERS seeking high end accommodation for their North Coast trip can now book into Royal Portrush Golf Club’s very own holiday let.

However, the luxury offered by ‘The Rosses’ comes with a £16,800-per week price tag.

As reported by the Chronicle last year, the eight-bedroom house was acquired by the club for a seven figure sum.

A major refurbishment has been carried out and, according to the club, bookings are now being taken.

A newsletter issued to members reveals that a full-time house keeper has been appointed to take care of day-to-day management and a part-time gardener will look after the landscaped grounds.

“Everyone involved has pulled together and the finish inside and outside the house is of a very high standard,” writes club manager John Lawler.

“I’ve already had the pleasure of showing some tour operators around the property and they are hugely interested in using it as a base for their clients when they visit the area to play golf.

“The focus will now turn to promoting the property through the club’s website, social media channels and further engagement with all the tour operators to grow the demand for the house.”

Mr Lawler concludes by inviting members to view the house at a series of open days.

A Web page set up to take bookings reveals the Rosses is in fact two houses – one with two bedrooms and the other with six bedrooms

These can be let separately on request or in total as an eight-bedroom property at a weekly rate of £16,800.

Unsurprisingly the house has already been reserved for two weeks in July 2025 when the Open Championship returns to Royal Portrush.

The Rosses sits on 3.3acres off Dunluce Road adjoining the championship course’s fourth fairway.

It was previously occupied by members of the Henry family who owned Coleraine’s Farm Fed Chicken plant.

The property was placed on the market in 2022 with an asking price of £2.5m.

It’s understood the club paid around £500k over the asking price to secure the property.
