ROOMS at the North Coast’s most luxurious hotel can be reserved by paying guests from February 4 next year.
But locals thinking of booking a summer mini-break might first be advised to consult their bank manager.
According to the hotel’s website, a one-night stay in July will set you back a a cool £1,100.
And if you’re after top end accommodation for the Open Championship taking place on the Royal Portrush links next door, then you are out of luck.
That’s because the hotel is booked out entirely for the tournament itself and three or four days either side of the big event.
If however, you’re not tied to any particular date, rooms can be booked from February 4 at a a rate of £450 per night.
The hotel and spa nearing completion alongside Royal Portrush Golf Club’s fourth fairway’ is billed as the region’s only five-star resort.
The £16.5m complex contains 35 luxury suites, restaurant, spa facilities and fitness gym plus an onsite putting green, designed by renowned golf architect, Martin Ebert.
For larger groups, Dunluce Lodge has a private lodge, with eight suites, private dining and a fireside lounge space. Guests can order craft beers, wines and whiskeys throughout the entire property.
Additionally, the Lodge will provide à la carte dining and tasting menus that can be enjoyed in the restaurant, wine room or private dining spaces.
Operators have promised to create a ‘golfers’ paradise’ which includes complimentary private transfers to the nearby helipad and to the clubhouses at Royal Portrush and Portstewart Golf Club
When finished, it will employ more than 80 people from the local area and support producers of local materials and seasonal produce.
The project is backed by a consortium of US-based investors. The hotel is being developed and managed by Valor Hospitality Partners who operate around 85 hotels all over the world.
