A MOTORIST has described his frantic efforts to save a Portrush man when his car crashed into a tree after he lost control on an icy road in January 2021.
Jack Dunseith struggled to contain his emotions as he gave evidence during an inquest into the death of Thomas McIntyre O’Neill, who was better known as ‘Mac’, during an inquest last week in Ballymena Coroner’s Court.
Coroner Anne-Louise Toal found that the speed 23-year-old Mr O'Neill was travelling at, although within the legal limit on a treacherous road, had contributed to the fatal collision.
