CHRONICLE photographer Ciaran Clancy has captured Portstewart's changing landscape on camera, marking a new chapter in the resort's re-development.
After receiving Council planning approval earlier this year, the historic York Hotel has been bulldozed to make way for 10 apartments.
The development represents an investment of £4m from the private sector and will create an estimated 30 to 40 jobs during the construction phase.
The apartment building will be four storeys high when viewed from Portmore Road or Station Road and 2.5 storeys in height when viewed from York Avenue.
All apartments will have private balconies or terraces and there will also be a communal roof terrace to take in the stunning views.
Meanwhile redevelopment work is also under way at The Promenade where the Ice House has re-opened following major refurbishment works.
