THE high speed National Hot Rods headline a five formula feast of racing this Saturday night at Aghadowey Oval (6.30pm).
Racing in the third round of World Series NI, the sport’s premier formula are sure to produce some fantastic action.
The Riordan brothers from Cork will head the entry list, with recently crowned National Champion Ian and reigning World Series NI champ Jeff sure to be amongst the pacesetters.
Ulster Champion Shane Murray from Galgorm is another who is always right on the pace, alongside former World Champions Glenn Bell, John Christie, Adam Maxwell and Derek Martin.
Portadown ace Bell scored a heat and final double last time out at Aghadowey and will be keen for a repeat performance.
Cullybackey’s Curtis Greer celebrated his recent World title success with a final win at Aghadowey a fortnight ago, and he is sure to be the one to beat.
The bumpers will be exchanged lap after lap, which leads to some spectacular action.
Lurgan’s Graham Meek and Crumlin’s Matthew Milliken also impressed at that last meeting, whilst Cullybackey’s David Wilson and Coleraine star William Taggart will be others to watch.
Continuing the contact racing theme, the open wheeled Superstox are also back in action at Aghadowey, with World Champion Jordan Robinson and European Champ Steven Haugh the star names on the grid.
Garvagh’s Jonathan Crawford came close to victory recently and will hope to land the chequered flag, with Brian Lammey and Stephen Stewart others aiming for glory.
The 6-11 year olds in the Ninja Karts will thrill as they always do, with NI Points Champion Jack Murphy from Co Armagh the pick of the bunch.
Jaxon Cairns, Tommy Johnton and Cahan Bradley will be aiming for victory, as will Ollie Williamson, Denver Bevan and Ethan McQuillan to name a few.
Completing the line up will be the BMW’s of the Lightning Rods formula, competing for the King of Aghadowey crown.
World Cup holder Mark Corry, European Cup and Irish Champion Ross Houston and NI Points winner Nigel Jackson will be the ones to watch, alongside final winner last time out Stuart Agnew.
