Things hotting up ahead of Thursday evening's races

THINGS are certainly hotting up - both on and off the track - at the Briggs Equipment North West 200.

With temperatures around the circuit in the high teens, conditions could hardly be better for the riders ahead of our opening races on Thursday evening.

Some brilliant times were posted in qualifying ealier on Thursday which means we could be in for some top-class racing later on.

The action gets underway with the first of the week's Superbike races - the Briggs Equipment Superbike Race - due to get underway at 5.30pm.

After that it is the Fraser Homes Supersport Race at 6.30pm with the Amici Ristorante Race bringing proceedings to a close at 7.15pm.

All tonight's races, remember, are over four laps.
