THE council is launching a search for people affected by the bomb that ripped through Coleraine almost 50 years ago.

The campaign to find victims and family members touched by the atrocity is part of consultation on a permanent memorial.

Six people were killed on June 12, 1973 when an IRA device concealed in a car exploded in Railway Road.
