Eagles soar to become Winter League winners

TEAM Eagles have been crowned winners of the Winter League at Portstewart Golf Club following a competitive series played throughout the off-season.

The victorious side was made up of: Donal McCrossan, Kieran O’Neill, Fergal Stewart, Trevor Boyle, Brian Shaw, Oisin McGahan and Jim Lenfesty.

They combined consistently strong performances to secure the title.
Finishing as runners-up were Team Better Back 9, featuring:Kieran McKeever, Seaver Smith, Robert Rainey, Vice Captain Michael Kilgore, Kevin Doherty, Philip Caskey and Paul Campbell.

Individual honours also went to Brian Shaw, who was crowned the winner of the Dinner Day Bowl and finished as the top individual scorer in the Winter League.

Shaw was presented with his award by Vice Captain Michael Kilgore and Match and Handicap Convenor Jason Doherty.
