Coleraine Football Club has issued a statement reminding supporters that 'abuse of any kind, whether online or in person, is wholly unacceptable and will not be tolerated.'
It comes after the Bannsiders lost out in extra-time to Glentoran in the semi-finals of the Bet McLean Cup on Tuesday night.
"While football naturally evokes strong emotions, this does not excuse personal abuse directed at our players, staff, or anyone associated with the club. Such behaviour is inconsistent with the values of Coleraine FC," said a spokesperson.
"We are a community club and expect our supporters to back the team with passion and respect. Abusive conduct affects not only those targeted, but also their families and loved ones.
"We ask all supporters to help foster a culture of unity, respect, and collective responsibility that properly represents Coleraine Football Club."
Ruaidhri Higgins' side are back in action this weekend - away to in-form Carrick Rangers in the sixth round of the Irish Cup.
