Two first half goals from Matthew Shevlin and Ben Wylie secured a comfortable 2-0 win for Coleraine at Bangor on Saturday.
The win sees the Bannsiders keep pace with league leaders Larne who overcame Crusaders at Seaview.
The visitors dominated the opening 45 minutes and deservedly opened the scoring just after the half hour.
Ben Wylie delivered a corner deep into the heart of the Bangor defence where defender Charles Dunne got his head to the ball.
Fellow centre back Mark Connolly played his part to, laying the ball into the path of Shevlin who swept the ball into the corner of the net for his 14th league goal of the season.
Coleraine continued to probe and were rewarded for their efforts just before the break with a second goal.
Joel Cooper broke from the halfway line from a Bangor corner kick before bearing down on Gareth Deane's goal.
The one-time Coleraine goalkeeper dived low to his right to save but Ben Wylie was quickest to react.
Evading a number of would-be tacklers he jinked his way into the box before curling a right foot effort into the corner of the goal.
The hosts came within the width of the crossbar of pulling a goal back in added time at the end of the opening period, Ryan Schofield touching Reece Neale's effort on to the crossbar.
And that was that, pretty much.
The second half failed to live up to the opening 45 minutes, Coleraine managing the game expertly to claim all three points.
