Coleraine brushed aside the challenge of Championship club Armagh City 7-1 to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Bet McClean Cup on Tuesday night.
Rowan McDonald opened the scoring for the home side after just 11 minutes, crashing a low shot in off the post following some neat approach play.
Teenager Oliver Devlin doubled the Bannsiders' lead midway through the opening half, running on to an incisive McDonald pass to blast a shot high into the roof of the net past helpless Armagh City goalkeeper Conner Byrne.
The impressive Devlin turned provider seven minutes later when he cut the ball back from the byline for Lewis McGregor to tap in from close range.
And it was 4-0 just before the break when McGregor set up Declan McManus for a cool finish in front of goal.
Lewis McGregor scored his second of the night seven minutes after the restart, again after some good build-up play, before Devlin soon did likewise, his shot taking a deflection off an Armagh defender on its way into the net.
It was seven up for the now rampant hosts with just under 20 minutes remaining when McManus lashed home a Jamie Glackin cross from 12 yards.
Armagh City had the final say, however, when sub' Conor Mullen controlled the ball beautifully before volleying past Coleraine keeper Lewis Webb for a consolation goal.
It was a tremendous team performance from a changed Coleraine, manager Ruaidhri Higgins handing a first competitive start to midfielder Stephen Fallon and goalkeeper Webb, signed jusst this month.
But it was teenager Oliver Devlin who shone brightest in the gloom provided by a dense fog which enveloped the Showgrounds from just after kick-off.
Elsewhere, third tier sides Newry City and Moyola Park knocked out Premiership opposition in the form of Glenavon and Dungannon Swifts.
Glentoran and Larne both prevailed in all-Premiership ties against Crusaders and Bangor while a strong second half showing saw Ballymena United get past Newington.
Finally, on Wednesday night, holders Cliftonville face Strabane Athletic and H&W Welders take on Linfield.
