Limavady edge past Coleraine in penalties

In a close contest in Limavady last night, the home side came out the victors after taking the visitors all the way and move into the next round of the North West Senior Cup.

Coleraine were the first to score at the Showgrounds after Tiarnan Brolly hit his mark past 'keeper G Muldoon, but Limavady would soon equalise after Mikhail Kennedy kept his side in the running forcing the score line to be a goal-a-piece at halftime.

Not too long into the second interval, Ian Parkhill pushed Limavady ahead, scoring success was replicated quickly by Coleraine once again by Brolly to even out the score line and forced both sides to go into a penalty shoot out.

Late into the night, after a total 23 penalties taken - Limavady hit came out the victors and advance into the Final of the North West Senior Cup against Strabane Athletic who defeated Institute FC 5-0.
