THE Roesiders look ahead to tomorrow's clash against Newington following a tough loss against Ards last Friday evening.
This marked Limavady's first away defeat of the season, following a 2-0 loss at Clandeboye Park, with two second-half goals from Conor Scanell ensuring Ards took all three points.
The last meeting between Limavady and Newington took place in September, when both teams played out a goalless 0-0 draw.
Manager Paul Owens spoke about tomorrow's match, saying: "We’ve lost four at home and won four, so our record at home isn’t the worst, but hopefully this week we’ll get the result.
“Newington won last week with a late goal against Ballinamallard United, so they’ll definitely be coming down the road confident. It won’t be an easy one for us, but hopefully we’ll pick up the three points and get back on track,” added Owens.
In other news, following the draw for the fifth round of the Clearer Water Irish Cup, Limavady have drawn Premiership champions Larne FC at home, with the match set to be played on the first weekend of January.
