A CHARITY rock night to remember Paddy Douglas will be held next Saturday, September 27.
The Bush Tavern in Ballymoney is the venue for the event in remembrance Paddy who tragically lost his life in a house fire in July.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Air Ambulance NI.
This all came about as the brain child of Nick Jackson, Darren Hutton and Mark Roberts as a fitting way to honour their friend and has been all approved by Paddy's family.
No less than a magnificent seven acts were quick to sign up to be involved and play at this great show.
“As word spread regarding this memorial rock night, members from some of the bands felt passionately about getting involved in the organisation side of things from bringing musical Equipment too offering their professional services,” commented a spokesperson for the organisers.
“There has also been a Justgiving page started for anyone who would like to donate online to the event charity. This can be found on the GIG event page on Facebook.”
The bands playing this include: Like A Hawk, Frission, Hard Fortune, Drumsteeple, Steve Moore, Electric Vultures and Krust.
There is a £10 entrance fee at the door and any other voluntary donations are appreciated with a Raffle mid way through the evening.
“There has been a lot of interest from everyone who knew Paddy and we are hoping for a big turnout on the night to give our friend the send off he deserves,” added the spokesperson.
