Portstewart man Billy Leighton, Chief Blender with Irish Distillers.
MEET the man with possibly the longest commute in Ireland.
Billy Leighton lives in Portstewart but works in Midleton, county Cork.
That's a round trip of some 640 miles just to get to and from work.
Thankfully for the 63-year-old he doesn't have to make the trip to the headquarters of Irish Distillers every day.
Chief Blender with the drinks giant, Billy is responsible for the production of over 60 million litres of alcohol each year.
It's an onerous task but one which the former trainee accountant takes in his stride.
After all, isn't it said that if you do something you enjoy you'll never work a day in your life?
Read Billy's amazing story in our new Food and Drink column in this week's Chronicle.
