A woman has been arrested following this morning's incident at The Crescent in Portstewart.
A vehicle made its way across a public footpath before ending up on the rocks, sustaining heavy damage.
A police spokesperson said: "Police received a report that a vehicle had gone onto the rocks in the Crescent area of Portstewart at approximately 10:15am this morning (Tuesday, 5 March).
"A woman in her 30's has been arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol in breath, and is currently in custody. There are no further details."
Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service also attended the seen this morning, a spokesperson said: "Firefighters attended an incident involving a car on the rocks.
"A woman was assisted from the car by Ambulance personnel. She was uninjured. Firefighters stabilised the vehicle."
It is believed that the driver of the vehicle was assessed at the scene by personnel from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service but did not attend hospital.
