The heartbroken wife of “a doting daddy” who suffered fatal injuries in a road accident between Coleraine and Articlave has paid an emotional tribute to her “Wee Johnny.”

Speaking exclusively to the The Chronicle, on the day after Johnny Scott's funeral, Lisa said: “Sunday, the 24th of February was the worst day of my life because I lost my darling Johnny. He was my best friend, my soulmate and my everything.”

As her family tried to comfort the mum-of-two at her Coleraine home and help care for her two-and-a-half-year-old son Rocco and six-month-old son Axel, she reflected sadly on how they had “lost their loving wonderful, amazing daddy.”

Lisa said: “I have sat and contemplated how can I go on without Johnny; just how will I carry on living now he has gone? But I have to believe he is watching over me, giving me the strength to go on for our boys.

“I look at their wee faces and can hear Johnny saying: 'Come on darling you have to get on with your life' but it's so hard; we did everything together. It was like we were in our own wee bubble of pure love and happiness. You never think that it is going to end.”

*Full tributes to the family man and loving father will be featured on pages 1-3 of this week's Chronicle.
