PARKING restrictions implemented at Killowen Health Centre have left many members of the public feeling disgruntled in recent weeks.

Recently we have reported that since the start of the month there has been a feeling of discontent surrounding the Castlerock Road surgery as patients have found themselves on the receiving end of parking fines.

Most recently, a local man raised his concerns surrounding the problematic parking regime after his mother attended a lengthy medical appointment and found herself on the receiving end of an enforcement letter requesting they lady to pay the fine having parked at the medical practice to attend an appointment.

Darren Keenan had taken his mother Ruby to an appointment at Killowen Medical Centre on August 28 this year. This is a regular occurrence for the mother and son duo as Darren is often responsible for getting his mother to and from appointments due to her ongoing health problems.

Speaking to the Chronicle, Darren said: “I am absolutely disgusted that this is happened to my mother.
